Egypt, Cyprus call for resuming Middle East peace talks
Both Egypt and Cyprus underlined the importance of resuming peace talks on the Lebanese and Syrian peace tracks from the points at which they had broken off. In a joint press conference held in Cairo on Wednesday Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa and his Cypriot counterpart said that just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East requires Israel's total withdrawal from all occupied Arab territories.
The two ministers added: "Israel must abide by obligations as set out in the international legitimacy resolutions and the land-for-peace principle."
