Abdeljebbar Brahime and Ahboul Brahim were appointed as Morocco's general consuls in Frankfurt and Dusseldorf, respectively.

The two consuls stressed their determination to spare no effort to settle the problems facing Moroccan expatriates in Germany, mainly the youngsters of the second and third generations.

A large Moroccan community lives in the areas of the two cities. According to German official figures, some 80,000 Moroccan nationals are settled in Germany in addition to nearly 4,000 students.

Moroccans started to emigrate to Germany in the early sixties and were hired in the coal fields of the Ruhr and Saar as well as in the industrial site of the Hesse.
