Rubin - Wye peace talks
US State Department spokesman James Rubin said today that the focus of the peace talks at the Wye Plantation is to get "the pieces necessary to put the peace process back on track." He did not confirm that there would be a comprehensive agreement that would lead to final status talks between the Israelis and Palestinians. He added the US has been seeking the advice of the Egyptians. King Hussein of Jordan will also play a positive role in the talks, making for a "three-way tag team diplomacy."
