Hawatemah warns of a Palestinian civil war

The chief of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Naif Hawatemah, who resides in Damascus, warned of a civil war in the occupied lands if the Palestinian Authority agrees to the security conditions posed by Israel.

In press statements issued yesterday, the front urged the end of the Palestinian - Israeli summit underway since last Thursday in the US at the Wye Plantation.

The statement said that US - Israeli efforts are being made to convince the self-rule authority to sign a new security protocol that would be used to expel all Palestinian opposition forces.
