Originally published

Lebanon lodged through the April Understanding Monitoring Committee, another complaint against Israel's violation of the provisions of the agreement, which prohibits attacks on civilians and populated areas.

Lebanese official sources said on Monday that Col. Maher Tofeili, head of the Lebanese team to the committee, informed its chief that Israel's bombardment on Sunday of the western Bekaa region had caused damage to civilian houses.

The first Lebanese complaint was lodged on Sunday after Israeli artillery bombed Ban Foul village, east of Sidon. The shelling resulted in damage to the houses in the village.

Meanwhile, Lebanese security sources said on Monday that Israeli occupation troops bombarded the central sector and hilly area of al-Tuffah district.
