Starting talks between Turkey and Syria
Syrian sources today told ArabicNews.com that Syria and Turkey are preparing to start talks to solve the conflict between them concerning the allegation that Syria supports the Kurdish Workers Party.
It is probable that talks between the two countries will be started by security officials today.
Syrian Minister of Defense Mustafa Tlass said that Syria is determined to settle the disputes with Turkey through peaceful discussion.
He also said that Israel is the only beneficiary of the dispute between Syria and Turkey.
Turkey threatened Syria with military action at the beginning of the current month, due to allegations that Syria supports the Kurdish Workers Party, a matter which led Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to mediate to prevent a war that might arise between then.
