Sultan Qaboos receives international peace prize

Former US President Jimmy Carter is going to give an international peace prize today to Oman's Sultan Qaboos Bin Said at the Willard Inter-Continental Hotel in Washington.

The prize is presented by 33 American organizations, institutions and universities, for Sultan Qaboos' distinguished contribution and prominent role in enhancing international and regional peace.

Omani Minister of Foreign Affairs Youssef Bin Alawi will receive the prize on behalf of Sultan Qaboos.
