Jordanian minister of energy to visit Baghdad soon
Sources in the Iraqi Ministry of Energy and Mineral Wealth said today that Jordanian Minister of Energy Hani Mulki will visit Baghdad soon to head the meetings of the Iraqi - Jordanian joint committee that will be held soon in the Iraqi capital.
The sources did not determine a specific date for the visit, but they considered more probable that it will be at the end of the current month, and it may coincide with inaugurating an international exhibition in Baghdad, which usually takes place at the beginning of November.
The sources said the two parties will discuss establishing a joint company for petroleum services to tackle petroleum drilling in Jordan, especially in al-Risha field near the Iraqi- Jordanian borders, as well as extending a petroleum pipeline to provide Jordan with its petroleum needs instead of transporting the petroleum in tankers that cross the borders between Iraq and Jordan daily.
