Moussa visits Ankara today to resolve the Turkish-Syrian crisis
Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa is heading to Ankara today to deliver a message to Turkish President Suleiman Demirel from his Egyptian counterpart, Hosni Mubarak.
The communique contains Syria's response to the Egyptian suggestion for defusing the crisis with Turkey and solving the suspended issues within the Egyptian mediation, which aims at beginning talks at the foreign minister level with a clear agenda.
Moussa is then expected to head to Damascus to inform Syrian officials on the outcome of his talks with the Turkish officials.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian president's political advisor, Osama El-Baz, said that Egypt praises all the Iranian efforts to solve the problems between Turkey and Syria, and warned Ankara against using force, and said that any attack on an Arab state is considered an attack on Egypt itself, assuring Egypt's participation in all positions, and its refusal of the Turkish-Israeli military alliance, which he said greatly threatens the security of Arab states.
