Frenchman convicted for drug trafficking charges

A French national was sentenced by a Tangier court (northern Morocco) to 5 years in jail for drug trafficking charges.

Pelissier Yves Alex Andre, a truck driver, was fined 20,000 dh ($1 is 9.2 dh) and will have to pay another 47,000 dh to the Moroccan tobacco company. His truck was confiscated. The Frenchman was arrested last week with 421 kg of chira (cannabis extract) concealed in his truck.
