Mediterranean Journalists Unions to Meet in Florence on freedom of the press

Delegates of journalists' trade unions from 12 Mediterranean countries will gather in Florence on October 12-13 to debate the freedom of the press in the region.

The meeting is to be crowned by the adoption of a charter for the freedom of the press in the mediterranean basin.

The possibility to set up an institution for coordination between the Mediterranean trade unions within the international journalists' federation will be discussed.
