Cohen starts Gulf tour

US Defense Secretary William Cohen arrived in Manama on Thursday in the course of a tour which covers several Arab Gulf states. The tour aims at discussing military cooperation between the US and the countries of the region and matters pertaining to terrorism.

Cohen will meet with Bahrain Emir Sheikh Issa Bin Salman al-Khaleifa and Crown Prince Sheikh Hamad Bin Issa al-Khaleifa. The tour of the US defense secretary includes Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
