Mubarak meets with Arafat

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak received Palestinian President Yasser Arafat on Wednesday.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa said that Arafat informed Mubarak of the outcome of the most recent round of talks with US and Israeli officials, as well as the outcome of the trilateral meeting held yesterday at Ariz bridge between Arafat, US Secretary of State Albright and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Moussa said that US Undersecretary of State for Near East Affairs Martin Indyk arrived yesterday evening as an envoy from Secretary of State Albright to inform Egypt of the outcome of talks that took place today and on the current US efforts to rescue the peace process.
