US embassies in Saudi Arabia closed for one day

US closed its embassies and consulates in Saudi Arabia to the public for one day to enhance their security precautions. US officials took this decision after receiving information that the building of the consulates and embassies could be aggressively targeted. At the same time, the embassy issued a warning to all US citizens in Saudi Arabia to be alert and cautious.
