A statement following a meeting of the Iraqi government chaired by President Saddam Hussein in Baghdad on Sunday said that four persons -- two Jews and two Muslims -- were killed in an attack against a Synagogue in Baghdad.
The statement added that Palestinian Mahdi Muhammad Ali al-Sharqwi, who carried an Egyptian passport, "broke into an Iraqi Jewish synagogue where he killed four persons, two Jews and two Muslims."
