Mubarak to inaugurate strategic symposium on October victory

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, the supreme leader of Egypt's armed forces, is to inaugurate a three-day strategic symposium on the occasion of the anniversary of the October War within the celebration of the armed forces under the slogan of "A War for Peace."

President Mubarak will deliver the symposium's opening address, then former prime minister and head of the symposium Mustafa Khalil will present the symposium. In addition, Egypt's general leader of the armed forces and minister of defense and war production will speak.

The symposium will tackle the October War through a scientific perception and its effect on the international situation and Arab solidarity. They will also discuss the outcomes of the war after 25 years.

The symposium will start on Saturday by discussing the political, economic, military and social pivots.
