Syrian - Lebanon summit to be held soon

Lebanese sources in Cairo confirmed to ArabicNews.com that there is no specified date for a Syrian - Lebanese joint summit between Syrian President Hafez al-Assad and Lebanese President Elias Hrawi because bilateral consultations continue daily.

The source added that the date of the summit greatly depends on the progress of the peace process, but it is very useful to hold consultations continuously between the two states about the recent meetings held in New York, Washington and Paris dealing with the concerns of the two states.

Earlier this week Lebanese Interior Minister Michel Murr said that the summit was likely to take place within ten days.
