French frigate arrives in Lattakia's port

The French anti-submarine frigate La Mote Pecet arrived Thursday morning in the Syrian port of Lattakia in the context of exchanged friendly visits between Syria and France with the objective of strengthening friendship and cooperation relations between the two countries.

The crew of the frigate is led by naval Col. Klaval. It is composed of 23 officers, 163 lieutenants and 55 navigators. The frigate's captain will meet with high ranking officials in Lattakia. Friendly football and handball contests will be organized between teams representing the two sides. The frigate will leave Lattakia on October, 5.
