A Libyan official delegation left Asmara on Thursday to return home after a six-day official visit to Asmara. Eritrea's national radio said the seven-member Libyan delegation held talks with the secretary general of the People's Front for Democracy and Justice, Muhammad Saeed.

The talks dealt with bilateral economic agreements and means of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in all fields. The radio added that the talks also dealt with establishing joint committees to coordinate political and economic decisions between Asmara and Tripoli.

On Monday, a three-member Libyan delegation arrived in Addis Ababa to hold talks with the Ethiopian authorities, in the context of Libyan mediation to settle the border disputes between Eritrea and Ethiopia, which erupted five months earlier.
