Kuwait loan of $30 million for Pakistan
Kuwaiti economic sources announced yesterday that Kuwait presented loans to Pakistan of $30 million to finance a project for rebuilding a station that will produce electric energy in Punjab province in central Pakistan.
The sources added that the loan presented by the Kuwaiti fund for economic development will be paid back over 21 years.
The fund has previously presented 13 loans to Pakistan. Another corporation, the Kuwaiti Official Investment Corporation, presented in August a loan of $250 million to support enhancing Pakistan's reserves of hard currencies.
