Syrian-Lebanese summit to be convened within 10 days

Lebanese deputy Premier Michael Murr has expected the Syrian-Lebanese summit to be convened within the next 10 days. Following his meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri on Wednesday, Murr added that matters will be clarified concerning the Presidential elections, saying the issue of the election should be settled before October 20, the date when the ordinary session of the Lebanese parliament will be convened. Murr said that commander of the Lebanese Army Lt. Gen. Emil Lahoud is the most favored to assume the presidency office.
