Palestinian official protests transfer of Weizman's office to Jerusalem
A Palestinian official rejected on Saturday a decision by Israeli President Ezer Weizman to transfer his office to the Abal Al-Zaytoun area in Jerusalem.
The Kuwaiti news agency, KUNA, quoted Palestinian minister Ziyad Abu Ziyad, as saying the city is part of the Palestinian lands occupied by Israel in 1967.
Abu Ziyad said Jerusalem is part of the permanent solution and final settlement in the Palestinian-Israeli negotiations and Israel should not launch unilateral steps in his regard.
Weizman's office is located in Qaysariya, near Tel Aviv.
