Tribal tension continues in Yemen
Tensions continued between the Yemeni tribes of Morad and Al-Tahif in Marab governorate, east of the capital, Sanaa. The two tribes began fighting each other several days before over a piece of land, and their three day-truce negotiated by Brigadier General Megahd Abu Shwareb, the advisor of Yemeni President Ali Abdallah Saleh, ended today.
The victims of the fighting between the two tribes through yesterday included 18 dead - 10 from the Morad tribe, 8 from the Ali Tahif tribe -- and 25 injuries on both sides, most of them serious.
