Originally published

Moroccan sources in Cairo stated today that French President Jacques Chirac will meet with Moroccan Prime Minister Abderrahmane Youssoufi at the beginning of the coming month during a visit Youssoufi will pay to Paris.

Youssoufi will also head with his French counterpart Lionel Jospin the works of supreme committee between the two countries.

The sources expected that the talks will address the situation in the North Africa area, developments in the Sahara case and the future of the Arab Maghreb Union, but it will focus on bilateral issues.

Morocco expects to obtain French support for a plan that aims at converting part of Morocco's due debts to internal investments.

Youssoufi will also convene with the head of the French National Assembly, Loran Fabios, and with officials in French political parties.
