International civil aviation organization names conference hall Morocco
Moroccan Transportation Minister Mustafa Mansouri dedicated Wednesday in Montreal a Conference Hall bearing the name of Morocco at the headquarters of the International Civil Aviation Organization.
The inauguration was held on the fringes of the 32nd assembly of the ICAO convening in Montreal with the participation of 700 delegates from the 185 member countries.
Participants are discussing a number of issues related to noise, aircraft emissions, taxes and environmental royalties.
Delegates will also reflect on the year 2000 computer bug and smoking restrictions on international flights.
The assembly, to wind up on October 2, will also assess the organization's past activities, set its future budget and discuss ways to improve aviation services, safety, booking systems and other related issues.
