French TV Channel "France 3" will broadcast next October 7 a program on the Moroccan gardener who was released lately in France after serving seven years in prison.

The gardener, Omar Reddad, was sentenced to an 18-year prison term for a murder he has always denied but he was freed on Sept.04 thanks to a "partial" amnesty granted by French president Jacques Chirac.

The Moroccan gardener was convicted of killing a wealthy widow on the basis of a message scrawled in blood by the victim's body, naming him as the murderer.

The message, however, contained a grammatical error which the defence said an educated woman would not have made. The defense affirmed that the sentence was motivated by racism.

Raddad's lawyer said he would now fight to have the guilty verdict overturned.

After his release, the Moroccan gardener was employed in France by a company specialized in Halal meat.
