Kuwait denies deploying forces in the north

Kuwaiti official sources denied reports published yesterday by Kuwaiti newspapers that military enhancements are being sent to the Kuwaiti borders with Iraq after the threats recently released by Baghdad against Kuwait.

The manager of the Moral Guidance and Public Relations Department in the Kuwaiti Army, Colonel Ahmed El-Rahmani said in press statements that these reports are untrue.

He added that since the liberation, the aggressive trend has existed in the ruling system in Iraq, and Kuwait's army is ready to play its role in dealing with any anticipated aggressions.
