OAU calls for investigating US military strikes on Sudanese medicinal factory
The Organization of African Unity has called upon the United Nations to dispatch a fact-finding commission to investigate the US military strikes against al-Shifaa medicinal factory in Sudan.
The current head of the OAU, the president of Burkina Faso, said in a speech at the UN General Assembly that Africa hopes the UN will delegate an investigation team to Sudan following the bombardment of the pharmaceutical factory in Khartoum.
In the meantime, the US opposes the UN Security Council approving this demand. Arab diplomats said the Arab group at the UN will debate this proposal.
