Sudan accuse Uganda of attacking its territories

Originally published

The Sudanese National Defense and Security Council, the high body for establishing defense policies in the country, convened an urgent meeting to discuss an alleged Ugandan attack.

Sudanese Radio reported today that the council, headed by President Omar El-Bashir, convened to take the necessary steps concerning the Ugandan attack.

Uganda's minister of state for defense affairs, Steven Katouma, denied on Friday what was said by the Sudanese mass media about the killing of 50 Ugandan soldiers in southern Sudan.

Mansour Khaled, the political advisor for Sudanese People's Liberation Army leader John Garang, said, "There is no Ugandan interference in the battles in the south."
