Saudi Arabia adheres to boycott of Israel, no products thru 3rd parties

Originally published

Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Abdul Rahim al-Juresi has asserted Saudi Arabia's commitment to Arab decisions that provide for boycotting Israel.

In a statement to the Saudi daily al-Jazira issued yesterday, al-Jureisi warned Saudi businessmen and citizens against the leakage of certain Israeli products into Saudi markets through an Arab or foreign mediator.

Al-Jureisi added that the boycott of Israeli products in Saudi Arabia is a known matter because the Saudi decision to boycott Israeli products falls in the context of the AL decisions on boycotting Israel, resolutions which are still valid. He said Saudi Arabia commits itself to those resolutions' implementation.

He expressed regret over certain Arab states' looseness in applying the boycotting decisions against Israel in permitting the leakage of certain Israeli commodities to other Arab states under forged names.

The chairman of the Saudi Chamber of Commerce and Industry also said that several Israeli products had entered the Saudi markets through a third party under a falsified name.

He called upon Saudi businessmen and citizens to be aware and to inform the chamber or parties concerned if they find an Israeli product exported thru a third country.
