Sudan threatens to strike American targets

Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir threatened yesterday to strike US targets if the US missile strikes are repeated.

In a speech to Sudanese television, al-Bashir strongly confirmed his country's reaction to any further US military strike against Khartoum, adding that his country will not stand tied-up.

Meanwhile, Sudanese Foreign Minister Mustafa Othman Ismael announced yesterday his country's readiness to accept Egyptian mediation to settle the disputes between the Sudanese government and opposition, referring to his agreement with Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa, on opening the issue of disputes between Cairo and Khartoum, as a preliminary step toward restoring normalized relations between the two states.
