Originally published

The Arab states are presenting a memorandum of understanding between the council of Arab ministers of interior and Interpol to develop cooperation in combating crime in all its forms, especially organized crime and drug dealing.

For the first time, the secretary general of the council of ministers of interior, Ahmed Mohammed El-Salem, will attend the meetings of the annual session of the United Nations General Assembly, held during the last week of September, to present the draft note.

Diplomatic sources told ArabicNews.com today that a coordination meeting between the Arab delegation will be held in Cairo under El-Salem's chairmanship before the beginning of the General Assembly's works.
