US Anglican bishop: Christians in Egypt enjoy freedom, peace and security

Originally published

The priest Victor Makari, the bishop of the Anglican church in the US states of Ohio and California, praised the peace, freedom and security that Christians in Egypt enjoy with Egyptian Moslems.

He said that he felt for himself the liberty practiced by the Christians in their lives in Egypt without persecution.

His statements came when the governor of the Egyptian governorate Port Said, General Mustafa Sadek, received yesterday a delegation from the US Anglican Church currently visiting Egypt.

The governor assured that Egypt's Moslems and Christians are one fabric with no difference between them and that they all live in a democratic climate.

The delegation will resume its visits to many of the governorates in Egypt.
