New Indian ambassador in Cairo says non-proliferation treaty is unjust
The new Indian ambassador in Cairo, Sheif Shankar, confirmed during his visit to the Egyptian opposing Wafd Party that the nuclear non-proliferation treaty is incomprehensive and unjust, saying that it threatens the rights of the third-world countries, adding that India is very proud of its opposition to this treaty and wants the world to be free in its choice.
He expressed his countries' readiness to sign the agreement, reviewing some of its items so that the agreement would be international and obligatory for all parties.
The ambassador also confirmed that the recent nuclear tests were purely Indian tests and that Israel had nothing to do with them at all.
