Bahraini ruler confers with British foreign secretary

Ruler of Bahrain Sheikh Issa Bin Salman al-Khalifa today met in Manama with British Foreign Office minister Derek Fatchett and members of his accompanying delegation, currently visiting Bahrain.

The Gulf News Agency said that during the meeting the two sides reviewed prospects for bilateral cooperation between the two countries and means of boosting them. They also discussed developments in the regional and international arenas on mutual interest. These include conditions in the Arab Gulf region and the Middle East peace process developments.
