Three Arab asylum-seekers in Britain under fire

Originally published

The French news bulletin "Top Urgent" said on Sunday that the campaign to take tougher measures targeting Islamists who are asylum seekers in Britain aims at the top three prominent figures representing extremist movements.

These figures are two Egyptians -- Yasser al-Sarri, an activist in the Egyptian Islamic Group and chairman of the "Egyptian Monitor" which was established in 1995, and Abu Hamzah al-Masri, leader of "al-Sharea Patrons " and former chief editor of the defunct "al-Ansar" bulletin, mouthpiece of the Armed Islamic Group in Algeria.

The French bulletin said the third figure is Fahd al-Sheikh (Omar Bakri Muhammad), a Syrian who leads "al-Mahhaj" movement.
