5 billion pounds of British investment in Egypt
British minister of construction Nick Reinsford praised the Egyptian economy, saying that Egypt enjoys a good climate that attracts foreign investment.
He added, "We see that Egypt is considered a big market, and we have a positive perception toward developing an economy that proceeds positively," adding that Egypt is the largest developing market and investment climate in the Middle East, and primary attention is focused on it.
The remarks came yesterday at a press conference held by the British minister of construction at the headquarters of the British embassy in Cairo. The minister said that his country is the second biggest foreign investor in Egypt after the U.S., saying that the volume of British investment in Egypt reached 5 billion Egyptian pounds.
