Iran for strengthening relations with Saudi Arabia

Iran's ambassador in Riyadh, Muhammad Riyadh Nouri, praised the level of Saudi-Iranian relations. He stressed his country's desire for further consolidation and promotion of these relations.

In a statement to the Saudi daily al-Madina published today, the Iranian ambassador expressed satisfaction over the desire shown by the Saudi officials to achieve reconciliation among all countries of the region.

Nouri also said his country will not resort to the military option to settle the Iranian conflict with the Taleban movement in Afghanistan. Nouri expressed Iran's hope that the Taleban movement will understand the Iranian position, adding that his country is looking forward to achieving reconciliation among all factions in Afghanistan.
