Jordanian journalists move against the press law
Chairman of the Jordanian journalists Union Seif al-Sharif on Tuesday said the union is working on various fronts, especially at the Parliament in order to review a new controversial press law that started to be enforced as of the beginning of this month.
In a press conference held in the presence of Engineers' Union chairman Hassan Jaber, al-Sharif added that the JU circulated personal messages to the 80 parliamentarians urging them to discuss the new enacted law. Meanwhile, al-Sharif stressed that his union is studying the possibility of submitting the case to the judicial court.
