US official to visit Cairo, Middle East soon

Kathy Nafili, the assistant American commercial representative for European and the Mediterranean affairs, will visit Cairo on September 17 within a tour that comprises Jordan and Israel, and that she will pave for the visit of US Secretary of Commerce William Daley to Egypt.

Egyptian sources told ArabicNews.com that the visit comes within the Egyptian and American governments' attempt to support commercial relations between them.

The sources added that Nafili will discuss many issues of concern to the two sides with officials in the Foreign Ministry and Ministry of Trade, including opening US markets before Egyptian exports to the U.S.A.
