Barak calls for negotiations with Syria

Chairman of the Israeli Labor Party Ehud Barak has called for resuming negotiations with Syria, which avails negotiations with Lebanon in order to reach an accord permitting a gradual Israeli withdrawal from south Lebanon.

In a statement to Israeli radio yesterday, Barak called upon the US to provide a report about the negotiations held in the Maryland estate with both Syria and Israel.
