Sudan demands condemnation of US shelling at Non-Aligned Movement summit
An Arab source participating in the Non-Aligned Movement summit said that "Sudan obtained the approval of the summit's delegates on condemning the U.S. aggression on its lands."
The Sudanese delegation presented last Saturday at the opening preliminary works for the summit - a resolution draft that condemns the US strike on the Sudanese factory.
The sources said the draft resolution provoked hot discussion among the NAM countries on the experts level.
Sudanese Foreign Minister Mostafa Othman Ismael said that Sudan will ask the NAM countries to support his demand for conducting an international investigation after the US attack.
Meanwhile, Germany's ambassador to Khartoum confirmed in a report he presented to the German Foreign Ministry that the factory struck by US missiles on August 20 was not producing chemical weapons, contrary to what was alleged by the U.S.A.
The ambassador said in the report that between three and five US airplanes lit the sky above the Sudanese factory then fired five missiles at the building.
