Tunis begins receiving seven new air bus airplanes.

The Tunisian airlines received yesterday the first airplane of "Airbus 319 A" type, within a transaction for purchasing seven airplanes of this kind, that was agreed upon last October.

The contract specifies obtaining three airplanes of Model "319 A" during this year and four of Model "320 A" starting from the spring of 1999 till the year 2000.

Sources in the Tunisian airlines told ArabicNews.com that "Tunis is considered the first African and Arab country that obtains this kind of airplanes, within a plan to develop the air transportation sector for serving tourism which is considered one of the most important sources of the Tunisian national income."
