58 persons killed in Yemeni floods

An official statement issued on Saturday in Sanaa said that number of flood victims in Yemeni since the beginning of August because of heavy rainfall reached 58, and another 25 were reported as wounded. The report said the most vulnerable areas are al-Hudida, 226 km west of Sanaa where 25 persons were killed and App province 160 km suth of Sanaa where 20 persons were killed. The floods destroyed 60 houses and damaged another 247 in the country's central and western areas.
