Greenpeace: Israeli still dumping toxic waste into sea

The Greenpeace organization which specializes in environmental issues said that Israel is still violating the international agreement banning dumping toxic waste into the sea.

In a statement issued on Monday in Copenhagen, the organization said that Israel is one of the few states still dumping poisonous waste into the Mediterranean, adding that Israel still refuses to join the international agreement which bans dumping waste into the sea.

The organization added in its statement that the Danish ship Skandia regularly dumps waste from Israel's Hafia Chemicals fertilizer company into the Mediterranean.
