Arab Economic Council head: no alternative to establishing Arab joint market
Hassan Ibrahim, the secretary-general of the Arab Economic Unity Council, announced that there is no alternative way of gathering the Arab states together economically except through the establishment of an Arab joint market.
In press statements on the 33rd anniversary of issuing the resolution establishing the joint Arab market in 1965, he said that Arab administrations must convene with the will of the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak who clearly underlined the importance of the existance of the joint market on the international arena.
He said, the Arab general interest requires an Arab economic alliance that is capable of dealing with the international system that is increasingly economic-block based.
