Egyptian prize in Mubarak's name

Egyptian Minister of Culture Farouk Hosni is to issue soon a decision to form a committee of leading intellectuals and artists under the chairmanship of Dr. Jabir Asfour, the secretary-general of the Supreme Council for Culture, to make the executive list for the Mubarak prize for artistic and intellectual innovation recently agreed upon by the people's council and which will be awarded for the first time next year.

The committee will determine the conditions for the prize, the method of nomination, and the organizations that possess the nomination rights.

A prize of LE 10,000 will be given to the first place winner for accomplishing a distinctive achievement that contributes to advancing culture and science on the national level.
