Syrian armed forces carry out tactical project

At the directives of President Hafez al-Assad Syrian troops on Wednesday carried out a tactical project, attended by the Army's chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Ali Aslan; the deputy chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Abdul Rahman Sayyad; and high-ranking army officials. The army units taking part in the tactical project had realized set training objectives in an environment that closely simulated real battle conditions.

Various land and air weapon types were used and army units took part in the exercises assigned with high efficiency assigned tasks.
