Israeli fears over its office in Tunis
Israeli diplomatic sources said that Israel has fears that Tunisia will close the Israeli office in the Tunisian capital after Tunisia withdrew its last diplomats from Tel Aviv.
Israeli sources elaborated that the Israeli Foreign Ministry had decided to keep its office chairman in Tunisia, Shaloum Cohen, for a longer time out of concerns that Tunisia will not approve the nomination of a new candidate to the post. Cohen was to assume his new post of office in Brussels earlier.
The application submitted two months earlier by his successor, Bani Omer, to the Tunisian authorities has not been answered.
