Sudanese opposition worried by Bashir's declarations
The Sudanese opposition expressed its anxiety that the Sudanese Nation Party's leaders in Sudan will be detained after the recent explosions in Khartoum.
A statement issued by the Nation's Party said that two important personalities from the party, Abdel-Rahman Nugdallah and Sheikh Abdel Mahmoud Abo, were arrested and that their lives are in danger.
The statement criticized the Sudanese president's threat of executing and crucifying those involved in the explosions. The statement also said that "our leadership within is in danger."
The opposition absolutely denied arranging the coordinated attacks in the capital and its surroundings. El-Sadeq El-Mahdi, the party's leader, said, "The government does not miss a chance to annoy its opposition, and these accusations have nothing to do with truth."
Sudanese television in new interviews that were broadcast yesterday evening confirmed the involvement of Hizbullah leadership in the explosions.
The detainees accused El-Sadeq El-Mahdi's wife of stirring these actions.
